Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Reconditioning Associate in Woodbridge, VA to ensure every vehicle meets CarMax’s quality standards for presentation. This role offers hands-on experience in the automotive industry with a best-in-class team at the nation’s largest used-car retailer.

You will log and track deliveries, move and stage vehicles, perform cleaning and detailing, and collaborate to deliver outstanding customer experiences while following CarMax EH&S requirements and maintaining a clean, welcoming

Qualifications

• High level of motivation and a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Log and track vehicle deliveries and inventory to maintain accurate records.
• Move and stage vehicles across the lot for optimal customer viewing.
• Ensure a clean, welcoming environment that reflects CarMax’s commitment to excellence.
• Perform reconditioning tasks such as cleaning, vacuuming, and detailing vehicles to meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• Learn and apply best practices in automotive care and inventory management.
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
