Job summary

SWJ Technology seeks a Vehicle Process Associate in Greer, SC to prepare vehicles for dealer distribution. The role blends hands-on automotive work with system tasks, including inventory scanning, QC checks, and accessory installation.

Onsite 6:00 AM–2:40 PM, 25% outdoors, with safety and 5S adherence. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, at least 1 year in production, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to drive a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Scan vehicles into inventory accurately.
• Perform QC1, PD1, and vehicle prep processes.
• Support inbound/outbound vehicle movements following FIFO.
• Install vehicle accessories and parts with hand tools.
• Ensure tools are assigned, tracked, and accounted for.
• Conduct visual inspections for defects.
• Scrap or recycle defective or unused parts as needed.
• Use internal systems to process service orders and movements.
• Use handheld scanners to update vehicle locations.
• Serve as quality contact for defects identified.
• Assist with installation, movements, and scanning as needed.
• Perform daily problem-solving per work instructions.
• Meet deadlines and productivity targets.
• Follow 5S methodology and safety standards.
• Apply standard work and structured problem-solving methods.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

We are currently seeking Vehicle Process Associate for a client in the automotive industry, specializing in car manufacturing. This position is based in Greer, SC and requires onsite presence. Purpose

This role is responsible for processing and preparing vehicles for distribution to the dealer network. This role includes accessory installation, vehicle movement, quality inspections, inventory scanning, and basic system processing. The position combines hands‑on automotive work with repetitive computer‑based tasks in internal systems. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with approximately 25% of the shift spent outside in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensures vehicles are scanned accurately into inventory
• Performs QC1, PD1, and vehicle preparation processes
• Supports inbound and outbound vehicle movements following FIFO procedures
• Installs vehicle accessories and parts using hand tools and provided equipment
• Ensures work tools are properly assigned, tracked, and accounted for
• Conducts visual inspections of vehicles and parts for quality defects
• Ensure defective or unused parts are properly scrapped or recycled
• Utilizes internal systems to process vehicle service orders and vehicle movements
• Uses handheld scanners to update and track vehicle locations
• Serves as quality contact for any defects identified on parts or vehicles
• Assists with accessory installation, vehicle movements, and inventory scanning as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Additional technical or vocational training in automotive, manufacturing, or related fields is a plus

Required Skills

• 1+ year of experience in a production environment
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive manual transmission (preferred)
• Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
• Ability to follow structured processes and safety guidelines
• Ability to meet physical job demands

Preferred Skills

• 1+ year of vehicle-related experience
• 1+ year of experience with MS Office applications
• Experience in automotive production or processing environment
• Experience with inventory or vehicle management systems

Physical Requirements

• Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs
• Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices
