Job summary

Murgado Ford of Chicago, a member of the Murgado Automotive Group, is seeking a motivated Porter to join our dealership team. You will safely move, park and prepare vehicles on the lot, helping sales and service teams provide a smooth customer experience.

This entry‑level role emphasizes reliability, strong customer service, and physical stamina. A valid driver’s license with clean record is required, and on‑the‑job training is included with opportunities for overtime and growth within the group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Porter, Valet, or in a similar role is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely move and park vehicles on the dealership lot.
• Greet customers as they arrive, assist with parking, and provide directions or information as needed.
• Keep the dealership lot and service areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
• Wash, vacuum, and prepare vehicles for customer delivery or service appointments.
• Assist with transporting vehicles between dealership locations or to customer locations as needed.
• Provide assistance to the sales and service departments as required, including running errands, shuttling customers, or delivering parts.
• Assist with inventory checks and ensure vehicles are properly labeled and accounted for on the lot.
