Job summary

Manheim is seeking Mobile Inspectors in Temecula, CA to perform thorough vehicle inspections on dealer lots, verify VINs and mileage, and document exterior and interior conditions according to our standards.

You will prepare daily activity and production reports, collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, and help educate clients on Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services. A valid driver’s license and basic automotive knowledge are required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
0–1 years of automotive-related experience preferred for Level 1.
3+ years of related field experience for Level 2.
5+ years of related field experience for Senior Level.
Previous vehicle inspection experience required for Senior Level.
Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical).

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough vehicle inspections in accordance with Manheim standards.
Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles safely on dealer client lots.
Verify vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; ensure accurate system entry.
Inspect and document vehicle exterior and interior condition, including all components.
Identify and document damage, missing components, or inoperable features.
Collaborate closely with Wholesale Specialists, peers, and other Manheim teams to support client success.
Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports.
Maintain production expectations as established by leadership.
Educate clients on the value of Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required
Minimal automotive knowledge preferred (body and mechanical)
0–1 years of automotive-related experience preferred for Mobile Inspector – Level 1
High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a related field for Mobile Inspector – Level 2
High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years’ experience in a related field for Mobile Inspector – Senior Level
Previous vehicle inspection experience required for Senior Level
Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical) required for Senior Level
