Job summary

Vortex Services in South Dakota is seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment.

You will inspect, diagnose, service and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, using diagnostic gear and service manuals, and communicate findings clearly to service advisors while keeping the shop safe and organized. Ongoing training is provided to stay current with new techniques.

Qualifications

• Must have own basic tools; specialty tools provided by company.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment checks (DOT, background, drug test).

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Conduct routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and brake repairs.
• Use diagnostic equipment and service manuals to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate findings to service advisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
• Stay current on new technology and repair techniques through training.
• Other duties as assigned.
