Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a hands-on Technician to service and repair field vehicles in a shop or on-site environment. You will secure trucks, perform oil changes, tire and brake maintenance, lubricate suspensions, and replace minor parts while using a proprietary pre-inspection checklist to assess vehicle condition.

The role requires ability to work both independently and in a team, regular attendance, and adherence to safety protocols. Training for Ford, GMC, and U-Haul will be provided.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license is required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
• Regular attendance is expected.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., with or without assistance.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.
• Must comply with nicotine-user hiring restrictions in listed states.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions.
• Perform oil changes.
• Replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use U-Haul’s electronic pre-inspection checklist and technology to assess and care for field vehicles.
• Provide assistance in additional areas as necessary under supervisor direction.
• Attend Ford, GMC, and U-Haul technician training.
