Clean Harbors Tukwila, WA is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to join our safety conscious team. The role focuses on repairs and preventative maintenance of the company fleet, ensuring reliable equipment for field operations.

You will work in a team, perform routine maintenance, oil changes, battery checks, and assist drivers with vehicle issues. The position offers growth opportunities and company benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years prior experience working on heavy duty trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Health and safety are the top priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Complete daily checklist as required.
• Ensure equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
