Job summary

Clean Harbors in Dallas, TX is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to maintain and repair the company fleet. You will perform preventative maintenance, oil changes, and inspections while ensuring safety and compliance on site.

You must have 1+ years of experience with heavy trucks, own basic tools, and DOT inspection experience. Competitive wages and benefits start after 30 days, with opportunities for certifications and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• 1+ years prior experience working on heavy duty-trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required).
• Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Complete daily checklist as required.
• Ensure equipment is properly parked/secured per permit and DOT requirements.
• Maintain facility via housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
