What We Offer:
SUMMARY
Verifies receipt of and performs a damage inspection on new and used vehicles delivered to the dealership. Parks vehicles in an orderly manner. This is a part-time position with potential of being a full-time position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Checking in vehicles off car-carrier.
Stocks in new and used purchased and trade-in inventory.
Taking, making and returning of all calls pertaining to dealer trades.
Assisting sales people on placing sold vehicle orders, with invoices, and dealer manifests.
Compares serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice.
Handling of dealer trades upon arrival.
Inspects vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the appraisal and/or invoice.
Records the description of damages and lists missing items on the delivery receipt.
Prints buyer's guide and price stickers then displays in vehicle window.
Parks vehicles in assigned areas.
Registering of all keys and sales people in key register.
Catalogs and stores keys.
Purges key control system and runs weekly report.
Coordinates and tracks vehicle inventory for service, detailing, and sales auction.
Coordinates inventory at third party vendors and schedules work (drivers, glass, etc.)
Tracks vehicle inventory off the lot for any reason.
Purifying of new car inventory as well as conducting physical new and used car inventory twice a month.
Internet responsibilities include photographing all new and used vehicles as well as placing the pictures on the Shaheen Cadillac website, Cars.com website, and Auto Trader.
Maintain orderly inventory display and assure cleanliness (washing as weather permits)
Performs light mechanical repairs (change batteries, lights, jump vehicles, etc.)
Picks up and delivers vehicles or paperwork as needed.
Lot maintenance, including set-up and removal of sales promotions and price labels, and snow removal when necessary.
Works with webmaster to update the Web site frequently to attract new and repeat visitors.
Maintains professional appearance.
Coordinate the process of taking photos of new and used car inventory and uploading to Web based inventory merchandising applications.
Verify accuracy of accessory equipment attached to vehicle in V Auto.
Properly apply appropriate stickers to used vehicles.
Ensure all vehicles are properly reassembled and ready for sales lot prior to photos.
Assist reconditioning manager with quality control of used vehicle details.
Assist with new car check in process.
Assist with organization of MLK storage lot vehicles.
Maintain professional appearance.
MARGINAL DUTIES include the following.
Snow removal from around building entrances, trash removal from lot and building.
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
