Job summary

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of automotive/heavy equipment repair and maintenance experience, including lead/supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver’s License; Arizona Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement required; Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement within six months.
• Drug and alcohol testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises repairs and maintenance of county vehicles and equipment.
• Regularly assigns work and supervises related activities.
• Provides coaching, schedules hours, evaluates performance, and trains staff.
• Oversees repair shop operations, prioritizes workload, and decides cost-effective options.
• Participates in shop and field repairs; assists with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Provides on-call emergency assistance for vehicle/equipment failures.
• Manages parts/invoices, quotes, and purchase orders; coordinates with vendors.
• Schedules service/repairs and ensures regulatory and safety compliance.
