Job summary

Kendall Auto Group is seeking a detailer for our Bend, Oregon location. This role involves washing, polishing, waxing, interior cleaning, and surface treatments, with adherence to Kendall and manufacturer guidelines. The position is full time and based in a shop setting.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with possible weekend or after-hours work depending on workload. Benefits include competitive pay, PTO, health insurance, and retirement options.

Responsibilities

• Washes, polishes, and waxes all new and used vehicles.
• Vacuuming and shampooing vehicle interiors.
• Cleans and polishes vehicle glass.
• Cleans engine compartments.
• Touches up chipped surfaces and paint imperfections.
• Chemically treats tires, vinyl, and other surfaces as needed.
• Documents all work completed to Kendall and manufacturer guidelines.

We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, willing to learn, and have good time management. Job duties will include washing, polishing, waxing all new and used vehicles, vacuuming and shampooing vehicle interiors, cleaning and polishing vehicle glass, cleaning engine compartments, touching up chipped services and paint imperfections, chemically treating tires, vinyl, and other surfaces as needed, and documenting all work completed to Kendall and manufacture guidelines.

The required schedule is Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, weekend or after-hours work may be available depending on work available.

Work is primarily performed indoors in a shop environment, exposure to noise, vibration, dust, paint, cleaning solutions, use of general hand tools, bending, twisting, and crouching will be required frequently to perform job duties, climbing and reaching will be required often to clean all parts of vehicles and pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds of force occasionally performed.
