Job summary

The Aebi Schmidt Group in Carson, CA is hiring an Installer 2 - Platform Mounting to prepare chassis for truck body installation and to install required units in truck bodies as part of manufacturing. You may assist in related duties as needed.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and prior installation/mounting experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required. This is a regular full-time, hourly non-exempt position with benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior Experience: Installer, Assembler, Mounting.
• Language Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• General knowledge of installation practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the chassis for truck body installation.
• Installs the body onto the chassis.
• Installs the bumpers onto the chassis.
• Installs all wiring and electrical units in the chassis.
• Installs accessories of aftermarket products.
• Welding.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Makes safety a priority.
