Job summary

Rimkus in Seattle seeks a Traffic Engineer/Accident Reconstruction Specialist to join our growing team. You will reconstruct vehicular collisions, analyze traffic control and signal timing data, prepare diagrams and analytical reports, and provide expert testimony when required.

The ideal candidate holds a S. Civil Engineering degree, a PE license, and 2–10+ years of experience in traffic engineering or accident reconstruction, with PTOE certification preferred.

Qualifications

• S. Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in engineering preferred.
• Part-time and ex-law enforcement officers with 6+ years of accident reconstruction experience.
• 2-10+ years' experience required.
• PTOE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconstructing vehicular collisions using analysis, CAE-based tools, and test data where appropriate.
• Provide collision scene evidence analysis and forensic mapping of collision sites and vehicles.
• Analyze single and multiple vehicle collisions, and intersection traffic signal analysis.
• Prepare reports and present findings to clients.
• Provide expert testimony in litigation as necessary.
• Inspect roadways, traffic signals, and related devices during site inspections.
