Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a qualified leader to oversee vegetation management operations along utility rights of way. The role requires at least two years in emergency response and/or hazard tree removal, leadership experience, and familiarity with line clearances and fire prevention.

You will work with contractors, ensure safety compliance, and apply arboricultural techniques. Strong problem solving and team leadership skills are essential for peak-season workloads and varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Two years of job-related experience including at least one year in a leadership role.
• Two years in emergency response and/or hazard tree removal on utility rights of way.
• Familiarity with PG&E vegetation management contractors’ work practices.
• Knowledge of arboricultural techniques and practices.
• Familiarity with line clearances and fire prevention requirements.
• Ability to sit for long periods at a computer or driving to sites.
• Ability to walk on uneven ground, climb, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs.

• Two years of experience in emergency response and/or two years of experience in hazard tree removal projects along utility rights of way
• Familiarity with PG&E vegetation management contractors’ work practices
• Knowledge of proper arboricultural techniques and practices
• Familiarity with requirements related to line clearances and fire prevention
• Ability to sit for long periods while working at a computer or driving to job sites
• Ability to walk on uneven ground and climb, bend, stoop, and crawl in confined or enclosed spaces
• Ability to lift materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to work long hours during peak seasons
• Ability to work various shifts or hours, including early mornings, dusk, or evenings
• Must pass pre-employment controlled substances testing and receive a negative result
