Job summary

ACRT Pacific, LLC is seeking energetic entry-level professionals for field-based forestry work with our Vegetation Management Inspectors team. This full-time role focuses on inspecting and evaluating trees and brush along utility lines, identifying hazards, and assisting in delivering client recommendations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Class C driver's license, and be able to operate in rugged terrain and inclement weather.

ACRT Pacific is currently seeking energetic entry-level professionals who enjoy working outdoors. This is a full-time opportunity for individuals who are looking to gain some Forestry experience. Our Vegetation Management Inspectors are ideal for professionals with an educational background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, biology, environmental studies, conservation, or related disciplines and who would like to gain experience in these fields and line of work.

Duties

• The VMI patrols for hazard trees, performs identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines.
• Assist in the submitting inspection results to clients with recommendations; Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews; Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers; notify property owners/agencies when tree work will occur and obtain authorizations to perform work.
• Support emergency response as directed; perform field checking sites and participate in tailboard and safety meetings.
• Maintain compliance with permits, encroachment, traffic control, and environmental protection measures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Class C driver’s license required.
• Experience as a VMI or equivalent on utility contract preferred; ISA Certified Arborist (preferred).
• Ability to identify local trees, read maps, and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
