Hillsborough County Public Schools is seeking an Elementary or Secondary ESE teacher to deliver instruction tailored to students with disabilities in a classroom setting.
The role includes developing IEPs, using diverse instructional strategies, and collaborating with parents and school staff to ensure student progress and safety. A Florida ESE certificate is preferred; eligibility for a Florida temporary certificate is required.
The Teacher, Exceptional Student Education (ESE), is responsible for the instruction of all areas of Exceptional Student Education in a classroom setting.

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Exceptional
Student Education Preferred. Eligibility For Florida Temporary Certificate Required.
Language Skills: Reads, analyzes, and interprets all kinds of documents. Responds to inquiries or
complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or community. Writes speeches and effectively
present to managers, the public, and school board.
Mathematical Skills: Works with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference,
and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Applies concepts such as fractions,
percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists. Interprets a variety of instructions furnished
in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office
Physical Activities: Standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, crawling,
handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing.
Lifting Demands: Up to 10 pounds.
Reaching Activities: Both dominant and non-dominant hand; overhead.
Environmental Conditions: Noise Intensity 3 moderate.
