Job summary

CFD Research seeks an experienced VDI Systems Engineer to design, deploy, maintain and secure multi-cloud VDI across operational environments. You will administer AWS-hosted and Azure-based VDI services, implement thin-client strategies, and ensure security alignment with DISA STIGs.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, 100% on-site work in Dayton, OH, and hands-on expertise with at least one core VDI platform and related tools.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required and U.S. citizenship.
• 100% onsite work in Dayton, OH area.
• Hands-on experience administering at least one core VDI platform.

Responsibilities

• Endpoint & VDI Management for AWS-hosted and on‑prem environments.
• Provision, optimize, and maintain AVD, AWS WorkSpaces, and Horizon.
• Test performance, collect metrics, and iterate templates.
• Apply DISA STIGs and create security/compliance documentation.
• Author CONOPS/SOPs and support cost optimization.
• Serve as Tier-3 escalation and align templates with R&D pipelines.
