Job summary

Jost Chemical Co. in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a CAD Designer to join our engineering team in a cGMP-regulated environment.

You will prepare and maintain detailed drawings, 3D models, and design documentation to support facility projects and operations. The ideal candidate has an associate degree in CAD and at least three years of drafting experience with AutoCAD and Revit, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD Technology or related field.
• Three or more years of industry-related drafting/design experience.
• Experience creating and maintaining 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models for structural, process, utility, piping, electrical, and facility-related systems.
• Develop construction drawings from engineering specifications, sketches, and field data.
• Review and interpret project specifications and standards.
• Perform field investigations and gather measurements for as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and technical staff.
• Maintain CAD drawing files and document control systems.
• Implement drawing revisions and support facility upgrades.
• Support National CAD Standards and company drafting standards.

Position Summary

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform field investigations within a chemical manufacturing facility, work at a computer workstation for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.
