Job summary

New Line Structures & Development LLC in New York City is seeking an entry-level BIM/VDC coordinator to assist in design and construction coordination. Ideal candidate is a recent graduate in Architecture, Civil or Mechanical Engineering and eager to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

You will review 3D models, coordinate with project teams, and support BIM Execution Plans, clash detection, and field integration using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other design tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Prior experience in the AEC industry preferred but not required.
• Proficient in BIM and 3D modeling coordination.

Responsibilities

• Review and audit 3D models from consultants and contractors in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
• Manage BIM Construction Process and ensure BIM Execution Plan is observed.
• Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage.
• Issue meeting agendas, minutes, and reports based on coordination.
• Hold weekly coordination meetings with project team members.
• Early design review and constructability analysis.
• Manage/Update the organization and distribution of BIM projects.
• BIM and VDC technology integration in the field.
• Work with Project Manager, Project Engineers, Superintendents to coordinate projects.

This entry-level position implements BIM and VDC technology to assist in the design and construction coordination process. Ideal candidate is a recent or upcoming graduate from an Architecture, Construction or Engineering program and possesses strong interpersonal skills, technical problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and enjoys working within a fast-paced innovative environment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience working in the AEC industry preferred but not required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Understanding of the main principles of architecture, engineering, and construction
• BIM knowledge and interest in working with Construction Technology
• Experience in Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD. Navisworks is also preferred, but not required
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite preferred (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore, P6 and/or Synchro preferred, but not required
• Highly organized with ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Aptitude for working collaboratively with teams on projects
• Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• High level of professionalism, motivation, attention to detail
• Resilient, positive, and confident character

RESPONSIBILITIES:
