Ryan Companies US Inc. is seeking a VDC Intern in Chicago, IL for a summer internship (May–August) or spring co‑op (May–December). You will learn by doing, supporting VDC engineers and managers in model management, coordination, and field tasks.

The role offers exposure to BIM administration, Autodesk/Adobe tools, and site logistics modeling. You will gain hands‑on experience in construction coordination and learn to read drawings while developing schedule and 3D model skills in a collaborative

• Within 18 months of graduating with a four‑year degree in Construction Engineering/Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, BIM Management or closely related field.
• Able to work 40 hours a week for at least a three‑month term.
• Eight months is the ideal length of time for this type of role.

Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a VDC Intern in our Chicago, IL office! This position is available as a summer internship running from May to August or a spring co‑op running from May to December.

Preferred Experience

• At least one summer of construction, architecture, engineering or BIM related work experience.
• Have a general knowledge of BIM, construction, scheduling and 3D modeling.
• Possess the ability to read and understand contracts, specifications and architectural and engineering drawings.
• Communicate clearly orally and in writing.

Compensation

The hourly wage is $20-$25/hour. The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
