Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a VDC Engineer to perform constructability reviews and coordinate projects using BIM technologies. This hybrid role works from both office and project sites as needed to support project delivery.

The position emphasizes collaboration across teams, applying 3D design tools and Reality Capture techniques to resolve challenges and integrate building disciplines effectively. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is expected.

Responsibilities

• Completes the quality checks and execution of day-to-day VDC project deliverables and processes
• Communicates with internal and external project teams; facilitates meetings to resolve project issues, review schedules, or other project documentation
• Assigns responsible party(s) for issue resolution; verifies and documents with meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, and updated models
• Utilizes 3D design software to identify, communicate, and resolve project challenges
• Utilizes Reality Capture technology, such as laser scanning and drones, to support project deliverables
• Combines all building discipline
