Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking a VDC Coordinator to lead BIM coordination for multi-discipline projects, especially in manufacturing sectors. You will develop BIM Execution Plans, maintain federated models, and coordinate with design teams to ensure model health and accuracy.

The role requires strong communication, experience with Revit/Navisworks/ReCap, and comfort presenting to clients. An associate degree in engineering or CAD is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • Two years minimum leading BIM coordination for multi-discipline design projects.
  • Familiar with manufacturing, food & beverage, and Life Science market sectors.
  • Proficient with Autodesk BIM tools: Revit, Navisworks, ReCap, BIM Collaborate Pro, Construction Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of construction/administration across disciplines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and training events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop BIM Execution Plans and manage project phases from concept to production release.
  • Lead BIM coordination for food and beverage projects.
  • Administer Autodesk Construction Cloud on assigned projects; maintain federated models.
  • Coordinate with design teams, perform model health checks and QA/QC.
  • Assist engineers with CAD drawings, prototypes, and design documentation.

You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.**What You’ll Do**You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.* Develop BIM Execution Plans; manage all project phases from concept to production release* Act as the lead BIM coordinator for food and beverage BIM projects* Act as the Autodesk Construction Cloud admin for assigned projects* Maintain federated BIM models* Lead coordination calls with the design team* Manage model health and assist with quality assurance* Develop CAD models, detailed drawings, layouts, and assembly drawing to support the production of prototypes, final design, manufacturing, and quality specifications* Assists engineers in the troubleshooting of production, prototype, and process issues* Assists engineers with testing, process development/modification, and the creation of engineering documentation* Perform maintenance of CAD files in response to engineering changes* Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team**What You’ll Bring*** A minimum of two years of experience leading BIM coordination for multi-discipline design projects* Familiarity with the manufacturing and food and beverage, and Life Science market sectors* A high level of proficiency with Autodesk BIM tools including Revit, Navisworks, ReCap, BIM Collaborate Pro, and Construction Cloud* A strong background in working with point cloud data* Familiarity with BIM tools such as CTC Tools, BIM Track, Revizto, Plant 3D, CADworx, PointFuse and Plant 3D (preferred)* A solid understanding of all involved project disciplines including construction and administration* Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written* Experience in facilitating meetings and training events* An associate’s degree in engineering, computer-aided drafting, or a related field* A bachelor of science in engineering (preferred)* An Autodesk/BIM Certification (preferred)Our culture and commitment to our people is what sets us apart.
