The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) at the Charlotte VA Medical Center is hiring part-time Food Service Workers who enjoy a fast-paced environment and are committed to serving America's Heroes.

You will prepare a variety of beverages such as coffee, latte, cappuccino and smoothies, assemble breakfast and lunch items, and keep the workplace clean and safe according to health standards. This on-site role offers public service experience with flexible shifts at the VA facility.

The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS), located at the Charlotte, NC, VA Medical Center, is seeking part-time Food Service Workers who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to serving America's Heroes.

Key Responsibilities

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares a variety of beverages, including but not limited to coffee, latte, cappuccino, and smoothies. Prepares and assembles an assortment of food items, including but not limited to breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, wraps, pancakes, burritos, and many more. Maintains cleanliness & sanitation of workplace, equipment, utensils in compliance with health & safety standards.

Properly stores food to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage. Prepares a variety of foods according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures. Will be exposed to varying temperatures, including hot and cold. Performs other duties as assigned.
