Job summary

HDR is seeking a networking professional to support NSX overlay networking across VCF environments. The role involves troubleshooting, implementing micro-segmentation policies, and managing physical data center operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and has a minimum of 3 years of experience in networking, along with proficiency in VMware NSX concepts. This position is on-site in Folsom, California, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise or data center networking.
• Working knowledge of VMware NSX / NSX‑T concepts.
• Experience with BGP and OSPF routing.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day administration of NSX overlay networking.
• Implement micro-segmentation policies and firewall rules.
• Participate in troubleshooting of routing and traffic flow issues.

Skills

Networking and virtualization certifications

Experience with Avi Load Balancer

Exposure to automation tooling

Foundational knowledge of micro-segmentation

Core routing and switching fundamentals

Education
