Job summary

terribleherbst is seeking a Vault Clerk to handle, record, and secure cash, valuables, or sensitive documents in a vault or secure facility. You will maintain precise records of transactions and follow security procedures.

Responsibilities include processing receipts, balancing daily contents, and assisting audits, with strict adherence to regulations and confidentiality. Occasional early/late shifts and interactions with financial institutions are common in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Previous experience in cash handling, banking, or secure operations is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic math and computer skills (Excel, inventory systems, etc.).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and record incoming cash, coin, checks, or other valuables.
• Prepare and package outgoing orders for distribution or transfer.
• Maintain detailed records of vault activity including inventory logs and transaction reports.
• Balance vault contents daily and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor security protocols and report suspicious activity immediately.
• Operate cash counting machines and other equipment used in vault operations.
• Assist with audits and inventory counts as needed.
• Adhere to company policies, security procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support other team members and departments as directed by the supervisor.
