Job summary

Brink’s Global Services USA, Inc. in Springfield Gardens, NY is seeking a Precious Metals Clerk.

The Vault Clerk will monitor, process and verify inbound and outbound shipments of precious metals, ensure inventory accuracy, and maintain rigorous security procedures in an armed environment. Responsibilities include auditing inventory, preparing shipments, handling paperwork, and coordinating with Global Services supervision and operations staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years shipping and receiving experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Demonstrated PC proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid firearms permit or ability to pass firearms licensing requirements.
• Valid guard card or ability to obtain guard card or other licenses.
• Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Accept and deliver shipments of precious metals at the facility.
• Perform audits on inventory to ensure vault integrity.
• Check in shipments and verify inventory against papers.
• Complete audit-compliant paperwork for shipments.
• Prepare shipments of precious metals for outgoing transport.
• Distribute metals according to customer requests and warrants.
• Coordinate with Global Services supervision and operations staff.
• Ensure proper handling of all forms and packages.
• Assist with projects as necessary.
• Provide security by following general security regulations.
• Work between Vault locations as needed.
• Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

AM Shift

Job Summary:
The Vault Clerk is responsible formonitoring,processingand verifying inbound and outbound shipments in the facility by physically sorting customer shipments, verifying inventory detail by comparing actual inventory to paperwork and otherwise ensuring precise control andrecord-keeping.This position functions in an armed environment and requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink’s and its customers, as well as the safety of all on the premises of Brink’s.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and deliver shipments of precious metals for BGS or outsidecarrierat facility.

• Perform audits on existing inventory to ensure vault integrity.

• Check in shipment from document provided by shipper or generated by Vault Manager, match pre-advised inventory detail to physical inventory

• Complete necessary, audit-compliant paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments

• Prepare shipments of precious metal to be sent out of facility, using allocation report (or other)

• Physically distribute individual precious metals to conform to customer requests and/or exchange warrants

• Coordinate and work directly with Global Services supervisory and ops staff

• Ensure that all forms and packages are handled appropriately

• Assistwith projects as necessary

• Provide security by adhering to the General Security regulations

• Work between BGS Precious Metal Vault locations as business dictates

• Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends,holidaysand overtime asrequired

• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience and/or related industry experience processing shipments/working in a fast pacedlogisticsenvironment.

• Demonstrated PCproficiencywith Microsoft Office

• Minimum of 21 years of age

• A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements

• A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses

• Ability to lift and carry75pounds on a consistent basis throughout the assignedwork day

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the freight or security transportation business

• Experience providing efficient andaccuratecustomer services for import/export customers.

• Experience inbankinghandling currency or working in an environment where high value liability is managed/stored.
