Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID is actively seeking a day shift, full-time Vein Clinic Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound studies and support diagnostic and operative care.

Under the Medical Director and Vascular Surgeon, you will perform exams including abdominal aortic, carotid, dialysis access, and limb arterial/venous studies, ensuring accreditation and patient safety while providing clear results for the team.

Qualifications

• Must hold or obtain RVT licensure with ARDMS or equivalent within 12 months of hire.
• Competent in scanning non-invasive vascular ultrasound studies.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to patient care.
• Ability to recognize normal anatomy and pathology.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe, timely, and accurate ultrasound studies across vascular exams (abdominal aorta, carotid, hemodialysis access, venous/arterial mapping).
• Conduct all phases of diagnostic medical sonography for high-quality exams.
• Meet accreditation standards for the vascular laboratory and vein center.
• Consult with physicians regarding technical correlations for procedures.
