Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a vascular ultrasound technologist for the High Point Main Cardiology: Vascular Laboratory. You will verify orders, perform vascular testing, and document findings in the reporting system.

New graduates must obtain RVT or RVS within one year of hire; BLS is required. Eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus (new hire) and up to $5,000 relocation assistance; 32 hours per week, Mon–Fri 8:00–5:00.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAAHEP vascular sonography program/or comparable experience with RVT or RVS credentials required.
• New graduates must obtain RVT or RVS credential within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Competencies in: ABI, Arterial Doppler (no intervention) Carotid (no intervention) Aortic ( no intervention) , Saphenous vein mapping, Exercise ABI, DVT Upper/ Lower extremity required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician's orders and reviews patient record prior to exam.
• Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing according to accredited vascular laboratory protocols, ensures patient comfort throughout exam.
• Recognizes and documents abnormal pathologies according to imaging protocol's as necessary to support diagnosis.
• Provides physician detailed preliminary report.
• Enters measurement data and final report into cardiovascular reporting system
• Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning in accordance with manufactures guidelines.
• Enters charges into electronic medical record.
