Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking a Vascular Technologist for a part-time day shift with weekend call. The role emphasizes non-invasive vascular ultrasound and Doppler studies, with the ability to modify procedures under supervision to obtain clinically useful information.
The ideal candidate will be NRVT or NRT-Vascular Sonography, Oregon Sonographer, and BLS certified, with a background in a non-invasive vascular laboratory.
This position requires knowledge of and expertise in performing non-invasive diagnostic procedures used in evaluating vascular occlusive disease, as well as the ability to objectively identify the presence or absence of disease utilizing a variety of ultrasound and Doppler equipment. The technologist has the ability to modify procedures with the approval of the Supervisor or Medical Director, to meet special circumstances to provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis. The technologist will comply with the standards set by the Inter-societal accreditation commission (IAC) for departmental policies and procedures. This position requires shared regional coverage for stand-by and call back on evenings and weekends.
