Position Overview

The Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy at Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) is recruiting a BC/BE Vascular Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing group of academic surgeons. The position is ideal for a vascular surgeon with an established research portfolio, with or without existing funding, focusing on clinical outcomes, translational, informatics, or basic science research. Start-up funds are available based on the research portfolio. The appointment includes time at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, with dedicated research time.

Candidate Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• ABS Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery
• 3-5 years of experience preferred
• Eligible for Illinois state licensure

Responsibilities

• Providing patient care at Loyola University Medical Center and the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital
• On-call coverage at VA hospital and LUMC, including weekends at affiliated community hospitals (Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, MacNeal Hospital)

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range: $159,000 - $985,945, based on academic rank and experience
• Paid time off, malpractice coverage including tail coverage, relocation reimbursement, CME days and allowance
• Additional benefits from Loyola University or VA if applicable
