Job summary

Southwest Georgia Medical System in Moultrie, GA, seeks a vascular surgery physician to join its established surgical team. The role blends clinic and OR duties in a community hospital setting with a collegial, well-resourced environment and a growing regional patient base.

You will work with four board-certified general surgeons, teach students and residents, and benefit from a comprehensive compensation package in a welcoming small town with easy access to Georgia and Florida cities.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a vascular surgery fellowship and prior general surgery residency required.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery.
  • Georgia medical license via IMLC or eligibility required; license or eligibility must be obtained.
  • Board certification within 5 years if not currently certified.
  • New graduates (2027–2028) encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vascular surgery care with clinic and OR duties, Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM.
  • Join a call rotation of 7 days per month with extra compensated calls.
  • Collaborate with four board-certified general surgeons and use hospital resources.
  • Precept medical students and residents as part of teaching activities.
  • Clinics near the hospital with access to a 24/7 physician lounge and facilities.

Job description

Location: Moultrie, GA | Schedule: Full-time, on-site

Overview

A community hospital system in Southwest Georgia is seeking a dedicated Vascular Surgery Physician to join its established surgical team. This hospital-based role offers the chance to build a practice in a collegial, well-resourced environment while serving a growing regional patient base.

What you'll do
  • Provide vascular surgery care in a schedule split evenly between clinic and operating room duties, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Participate in a call rotation of 7 days per month, with additional compensated call opportunities available
  • Collaborate with four board-certified general surgeons and utilize full hospital resources
  • Precept medical students and residents as part of ongoing teaching opportunities
  • Work out of a clinic located near the hospital, with access to a 24/7 physician lounge, employee fitness center, and advanced education/simulation facilities
Required qualifications
  • Completion of a vascular surgery fellowship, with a prior general surgery residency required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery
  • Possession of, or eligibility for, a Georgia medical license via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
  • Must achieve board certification within 5 years if not currently certified
  • New graduates from 2027 to 2028 are encouraged to apply
