Job summary

MarinHealth seeks a Vascular Surgical Physician Assistant to deliver perioperative and longitudinal care for vascular patients. You will work with vascular surgeons and a multidisciplinary team to assess, manage, and treat patients, including preoperative evaluations, first‑assist during procedures, and post‑operative care.

Responsibilities include wound care, minor procedures (sclerotherapy, debridement), test interpretation, and protocol development to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• 2–5 years of PA experience preferred; motivated new grad considered.
• Active California PA license (PA).
• Current NCCPA certification by first day of work and maintained.
• Active California DEA license as required by specialty.
• CMS enrollment eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid.
• BLS and ACLS current.
• Surgical residency preferred and wound care experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with vascular surgeons and care team to deliver comprehensive perioperative care.
• Perform preoperative evaluations and first‑assist in open and endovascular procedures.
• Coordinate postoperative care and manage inpatient/outpatient vascular patients.
• Order, interpret, and act on tests and radiographic studies; document care in system.
• Perform wound care and minor procedures such as sclerotherapy and debridement.
• Develop protocols to improve efficiency and patient throughput in perioperative settings.
