Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Vascular Surgery is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy, collaborative vascular surgery team at the Downtown Campus. This role offers outpatient work with access to advanced imaging, wound care, and perioperative follow-up in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• License and active NYS registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program
• Minimum 1 year experience in vascular surgery, cardiology, wound care, or related field

Responsibilities

• Assesses and manages vascular surgery patients in outpatient setting including new patient evaluations
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and performs clinic-based procedures
• Provides comprehensive wound care management for peripheral arterial and venous disease
• Delivers patient education and referrals; participates in collaborative care planning
• Supports telephone triage and continuity of care for outpatient vascular concerns
• Manages postoperative follow-up and care after endovascular or open vascular procedures
