Job summary

Medicorp, Inc. in Oregon is seeking a vascular surgeon to join a collaborative team of four providers in a hospital-employed, full-time role with excellent work/life balance. There is no General Surgery call responsibility, and leadership advancement into a medical director role is available.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and perioperative expectations to ensure comfort and continuity of care.
  • Support patient care across all aspects of vascular medicine including open and endovascular procedures.
  • Involve medical students and residents in clinical activities and teaching.

Job description

Vascular Surgery – Oregon
  • Work alongside a collaborative, tight knit team of 4 providers; 2 MDs and 2 APCs
  • PSLF-eligible hospital-employed full-time role
  • No Geneal Surgery call responsibility
  • Work/life balance: 1.5 clinic days, 3 OR days, night and weekend call covered by residents
  • Leadership advancement into medical director role available
  • Communicate with and support patient/families regarding diagnosis, treatment, expectations, and the perioperative experience, in order to facilitate patient comfort and continuity of care
  • Practice includes all aspects of vascular care- open and endovascular procedures, angiograms, carotid endarterectomy, leg bypasses and AV fistulas/grafts
  • Active involvement with medical students and residents
