Job summary

Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center seeks a vascular surgeon to perform open and endovascular procedures including AAA repairs and dialysis access, while supervising residents and contributing to inpatient and outpatient vascular care.

The role supports a comprehensive VA total rewards package and a Monday–Friday schedule with on-call duties as needed. Candidates must have an MD/DO, be board-certified, hold a full unrestricted US license, complete a vascular residency, and demonstrate strong

Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligible per VA policy
• MD or DO degree from VA-approved school
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in US
• Residency in core vascular surgery training
• English proficiency

Responsibilities

• Open and endovascular AAA repair
• Dialysis access procedures
• Diagnostic and interventional angiography
• Lower extremity bypass
• Carotid surgery
• Supervision and teaching of surgical residents
• Outpatient and inpatient care for vascular patients
