Job summary

The Department of Surgery at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York, is recruiting for a Vascular Surgeon. The incumbent will provide direct patient care, perform open and endovascular procedures, and supervise residents while maintaining a broad vascular practice.

Ideal candidates will have an MD/DO, full medical licensure, and board certification. Responsibilities include teaching, on-call coverage, and contribution to a comprehensive vascular program for Veterans'

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and full, unrestricted medical license.
• Board certification required or eligible for faculty status as applicable.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and perform vascular surgery at VA Medical Center in Albany, NY.
• Perform open and endovascular procedures and post-operative care.
• Interpret vascular studies and participate in a broad vascular program.
• Teach residents and supervise clinical activities.
• Participate in night/weekend on-call rotations as needed.
