Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Vascular Surgeon to join the growing surgical program at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine.

The role offers comprehensive vascular care, including open and endovascular procedures, with dedicated operating room access and multidisciplinary collaboration across cardiology, interventional radiology, nephrology, and critical care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of accredited Vascular Surgery residency or fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Maine.
• DEA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive vascular surgical care including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of vascular disease
• Perform open and endovascular procedures in a hospital-based surgical setting
• Evaluate and manage inpatient vascular consultations
• Participate in call coverage and vascular service line development
• Collaborate with cardiology, nephrology, wound care, and critical care services
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
