Located 60 miles east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this independent, 166-bed acute care community hospital is the sole community provider for this college town and rural county. IRMC's vision is to be the best community health system in the country, and is well on its way. Nearly every specialty of medicine and surgery is represented on the active medical staff, with a mix of employed and private physicians on staff.
Great opportunity for a fellowship-trained, BE/BC surgeon to build a vascular program. The opportunity is hospital employed partnership in the community. Call coverage is available from General Surgery. Ideal situation with an underutilized cardiac catheterization & peripheral angiography lab, a non-invasive Vascular lab, a 64-slice CT, a Center for Wound Healing with two hyperbaric oxygen chambers, an established Vein Clinic, and a strong regional dialysis. Can be 100% Vascular/Endovascular, or combined with General Surgery and/or non-cardiac Thoracic Surgery.
