Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of vascular sonography experience required.
Current BLS certification is mandatory.
Responsibilities
Perform independent vascular ultrasound exams following established protocols.
Obtain spectral Doppler waveforms and high-quality diagnostic images.
Prepare and educate patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
Accurately document exams and transfer images using EMR, RIS, and PACS.
Collaborate with physicians and care teams to support timely diagnosis.
Adhere to safety behaviors and quality standards.
Skills
Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
Ability to work independently in diagnostic settings
Proficient with ultrasound equipment and basic computer systems
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Adaptable to patients of all ages and clinical conditions
Education
Graduate of an ARRT-approved or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program
Associate Degree or higher
