Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Medical Sonographer (Vascular) in Woodbridge, Virginia. This is a full‑time, rotating shift position with benefits and a sign‑on bonus. Work schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Rotating shift.

You will perform diagnostic general/vascular ultrasound examinations under physician direction, relying on independent judgment. ARRT or ARDMS registry is required to qualify for this role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, related field or completion of a training program acceptable to the registry board.
• Registered ARRT or ARDMS required.

Responsibilities

• Performing diagnostic general/vascular ultrasound examinations.
• Demonstrating correct anatomy/pathology.
• Operating sonography equipment and electronic radiology systems.
• Preparing patient rooms, equipment, and medications.
• Maintaining adequate supply inventory.
• Explaining examination and procedure to patients and completing departmental documentation.
• Performing non‑invasive vascular testing procedures and writing preliminary interpretations.
