Pride Health is seeking a Heart & Vascular Sonographer to perform high-quality non-invasive echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound examinations in Cincinnati, OH. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography training program.
• Current certification in at least one applicable specialty (BLS via AHA).
• Strong knowledge of cardiac/vascular sonography and imaging technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound according to protocols.
• Obtain patient history and documentation before examinations.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images and data using ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and families; ensure comfort and safety.
• Perform add-on and emergency exams while maintaining workflow.
• Start peripheral IVs and administer UEAs (Definity) when required.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in process improvement, peer review, and ongoing training.

Job description

Seeking a skilled Heart & Vascular Sonographer to perform high-quality non-invasive echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound examinations. The role involves patient assessment, advanced ultrasound imaging, adherence to established protocols, and collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, patient-focused, and committed to quality, safety, and continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
• Obtain relevant patient history and supporting documentation before each examination.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images and accurate data using advanced ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and families while ensuring comfort, safety, and excellent patient care.
• Perform add-on and emergency examinations efficiently while maintaining department workflow.
• Start peripheral IVs and administer ultrasound enhancing agents (UEAs), including Definity, and perform bubble studies as required.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, cleanliness, and compliance with quality control and safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, hospital staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnostic services.
• Participate in process improvement, peer review, continuing education, and departmental training activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography training program.
• Current certification in at least one applicable specialty:
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Strong knowledge of cardiac and/or vascular sonography, ultrasound technology, and current clinical practices.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of quality assurance, accreditation, credentialing, medical records, DICOM, and imaging technology.
• Ability to independently perform exams, operate imaging equipment safely, and follow established testing protocols.
• Primarily outpatient patient population.
• Must be comfortable starting IVs, administering UEAs such as Definity, and performing bubble studies.
• 13-week contract position
• Shift is 8 hrs/afternoon (Mon - Fri), 40 hrs/week
• Location is Cincinnati, OH 45219
• Pay Rate for Locals: $50 - $55 Hourly
• Pay Rate for Travelers: $2,600 - $2,650 Weekly
