Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System seeks a qualified vascular interventional OR support professional. The role assists the surgeon elbow-to-elbow, handling instruments, wires, catheters and balloons, and supports vascular care using aseptic technique and radiologic principles.

The incumbent collaborates with staff, performs clinical and surgical duties, ensures supplies, and maintains sterile instrumentation while communicating procedures. Education and quality project participation are expected.

Qualifications

  • 2 years applicable experience
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Associate Degree - Radiologic Technology

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with other healthcare employees to enhance patient care.
  • Assumes a multi-skilled role, performing clinical and surgical functions.
  • Ensures appropriate supplies are obtained for all surgical procedures.
  • Obtains sterile instrumentation prior to procedures and hands-off contaminated instruments with proper communication.
  • Participates in at least two education or training programs annually or serves as a preceptor.
  • Supports quality and change projects.
  • Participates in department level meetings.
