Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute is seeking a Vascular Neurologist to join its established program in the Miami Neuroscience Institute. The role includes managing stroke care, acute inpatient consultations, and leading a multidisciplinary team across neurointerventional and ICU services.

Ideal candidates will be fellowship-trained in vascular neurology, Board-eligible or -certified in Neurology (ABPN), with MD/DO from an accredited institution and Florida licensure.

Job description

Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), the largest healthcare organization in the South Florida region with medical practices spanning from Key West to Palm Beach, is seeking a Vascular Neurologist to join its well-established program at its Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute (MNI), part of Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care. The team, which includes over two dozen physicians across eight locations, performs over 1,500 surgeries each year and offers more than 30 clinical research studies, encompassing expertise in neurosurgery, nonsurgical spine care and pain management, neuroradiology, interventional neuroradiology, neuro‑oncology, radiation oncology, and neurology.

• Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), and be fellowship‑trained in Vascular Neurology
• Board certification in Vascular Neurology at time of hire preferred but can be obtained within allotted eligibility timeline
• Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
• Ideal candidates will have in‑depth knowledge of managing stroke calls, stroke prevention clinic, providing acute inpatient stroke consultation, and collaborating with neurointerventional and ICU teams
• MNI is a Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. In 2022, MNI had the greatest number of thrombolytic cases per year for the region, with the lowest door‑to‑needle time among all high‑volume centers
• Academically affiliated with Florida International University (FIU) and Florida Atlantic University (FAU), BHSF has been teaching residents at FAU since 2018, and most recently launched a 16‑resident neurology program at FIU in 2025
