Job summary

The University of Virginia, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, seeks candidates of all ranks to join its expanding Vascular Medicine section within Cardiology. The directorship of the Vascular Medicine service could be available with commensurate prior experience.

The incumbents will provide clinical vascular medicine services, with emphasis on inpatient and outpatient vascular medicine and interpretation of studies in the non-invasive vascular laboratory.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent and board-certified in Internal Medicine.
• Sub-specialty board-certified or board-eligible in Vascular Medicine.
• Prior academic or clinical leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical vascular medicine services (inpatient and outpatient).
• Interpret non-invasive vascular studies in the vascular laboratory.
• Teach fellows and house staff; participate in research opportunities.

Description

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Virginia, School of Medicine, seeks candidates of all ranks to join its expanding Vascular Medicine section within the Cardiology Division. Rank will be dependent upon qualifications. Directorship of the Vascular Medicine service could be available with commensurate prior experience. The incumbents will be responsible for providing clinical vascular medicine services, with an emphasis on inpatient and outpatient vascular medicine and interpretation of studies in the non-invasive vascular laboratory. The candidates will actively participate in the teaching program with vascular medicine, interventional radiology, vascular surgery and cardiovascular medicine fellows and other medical house staff. Opportunities for research that is commensurate with experience and interest may be accommodated.
