Job summary

Saint Luke's in the United States seeks a qualified OR team member to assist in vascular interventional procedures. You will support the surgeon elbow-to-elbow, handle wires, catheters, and balloons, and contribute to plan-of-care execution using sterile technique and imaging principles.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology and BLS certification, with a history of collaborative patient care and ongoing education.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of applicable experience
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Associate Degree - Radiologic Technology

Responsibilities

  • Individualizes and modifies care according to the patient’s needs
  • Collaborates with other healthcare employees to enhance the provision of patient care
  • Assumes a multi-skilled role, performing clinical and surgical functions
  • Ensures appropriate supplies have been obtained for all surgical procedures performed
  • Obtains necessary sterile instrumentation prior to procedures and hands-off contaminated instrumentation to decontamination with appropriate communication following procedures
  • Participates in at least two education or training programs annually or serves as a preceptor e.g., mentoring, teaching peers, department in-service
  • Supports quality and change projects
  • Participates in department level meetings
