Job summary

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, current MRT license (TX) or temporary license, and ARRT-R registration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) is required.
• Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Performs special/invasive radiology procedures on patients.
• Prepares patients for exam, explains procedure, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients, selects imaging techniques, and ensures image quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment.
• May assist with initial and renewal accreditation applications (ACR and others).
• Identifies and reports accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions to department management.
• Takes emergency call within the department.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and budget/time management.
