Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to support the Noninvasive Vascular Lab operations. You will perform noninvasive vascular studies, document findings, and maintain high technical quality while collaborating with vascular surgeons and other specialists.

The position requires completion of an accredited vascular sonography program, at least 2 years of vascular study experience, and certification (RVT/RVS/RTVS) or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited vascular sonography program.
• Minimum 2 years experience performing noninvasive vascular studies.
• 6 months externship completed at Keck Medicine of USC.
• Ability to effectively work with physicians, staff and patients.
• Able to function independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Performs studies and associated paperwork during an 8-hour shift without compromising quality or service.
• Maintains utmost technical quality per semi-annual chart review surveys.
• Performs studies within the technician's level.
• Provides technical support in noninvasive vascular diagnostic studies across age ranges.
• Collaborates with vascular surgeons, urologists and neurologists and assists with interpretation of procedures.
• Works independently with ongoing review through evaluation of results.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
