Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. You will perform comprehensive assessments, coordinate care plans, and implement treatments within a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include a BSN, at least 1 year of RN experience, Texas RN licensure, CPR/BLS within 14 days, and RN I competency. Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 is offered to eligible hires.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
  • At least one year of RN experience upon hire.
  • Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 days.
  • Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive assessments, provide holistic nursing care, and notify physicians of significant changes.
  • Care Planning & Coordination: Develop, direct, and evaluate individualized care plans, including patient/family education and discharge planning, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Treatment Implementation: Prepare patients for procedures, implement physician orders, and ensure patient safety protocols, including medication administration.
  • Ongoing Evaluation & Adjustment: Reassess patient responses to interventions, adapt care to changing needs, and communicate with physicians for modifications.
  • Effective Communication & Handoffs: Use Bedside Shift Report, provide thorough patient updates, and delegate tasks for seamless care transitions.
  • Safety & Quality Assurance: Maintain a safe patient and work environment, address hazards, and contribute to quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.

We are offering up to $10,000 in relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
