Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network's Advanced Primary Care Practice in the Houston area seeks a Vascular Access Registered Nurse to perform Peripheral IV, Midline, and PICC insertions across the Houston/Beaumont market, delivering exceptional patient care and accurate clinical documentation.

You will serve as the primary vascular access resource for assigned facilities, collaborate with nursing staff and leadership, and adhere to infection prevention standards, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• The RN must hold a current, unrestricted Texas license.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with PIV, Midline, and PICC placements.
• Experience with ultrasound-guided vascular access.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Peripheral IV (PIV), Midline, and PICC insertions
• Assess patients to determine vascular access needs
• Utilize ultrasound technology when clinically indicated
• Follow infection prevention, sterile technique, and safety standards
• Collaborate with facility nursing staff, medical providers, and leadership
• Maintain professional communication with assigned facilities
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Provide timely response to vascular access service requests
• Maintain reliable attendance and communicate scheduling needs proactively
