Job summary

AdventHealth Littleton, CO, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN Day shift in an acute care setting. The role requires an RN license, BLS, and ability to collaborate across disciplines.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and revise care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, maintain documentation, and participate in performance improvement to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RN required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• 1+ acute care hospital setting preferred
• Current RN license (and CPR/BLS)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly evaluating and revising plans as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, care activities and outcomes.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust as necessary to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control, safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks within the healthcare team to ensure quality.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly and stabilize patients.
